Follow the Rabbit as Warehouse of Theatre and ODURep bring ALICE to the stage!

Modern, Southern, and all American, Alice finds herself in a world she doesn’t recognize and doesn’t know how to navigate. As her life becomes “curiouser and curiouser,” she learns to believe in the impossible, in herself, and in her own “muchness”.

ALICE combines a fantabulous book by Lee Smith, lyrical and heartfelt music by Hampton Roads troubadour, Skye Zentz, and cutting edge technology,  fanciful costumes, and energetic performances.

Warehouse of Theatre produces with the generous support of

Old Dominion University, ODU Rep, the Core Theatre Ensemble, and the Virginia Stage Company.

Our mission is simple: re-experiencing, with the audience, the wonder of childhood, the passion of youth and the spiritual negotiations of age. In our world, theatre is life and life is theatre.

In our work, Media is not the seasoning on the entree, it is the meat, the potatoes, the pasta, the sauce. We treat media as a character with a viewpoint, opinion and personality. Never secondary, it is the heart of our work.

We're an independent company in Norfolk, Virginia, creating works that get conversations going.

Warehouse of Theatre has devoted its energy to passionately create a conversation, juxtaposing images and poetic language.

Sometimes provocative, sometimes introspective, we pose questions that make audiences talk.
